Dezineo workshop:

« At home everywhere »

The Ultra Sedentary Mobility
The end of the 20th century was known as the huge acceleration of physical and virtual mobility through the rapid development of transportation and new technologies. Because they are economically migrant, jet setters, delocalized or transborder, the new nomads make good use of the increased ease in movement and communication. Difficult to do more quickly, more accessible- this double evolution of the physical and virtual mobility spawns a certain impact on the conception of spaces and tools.
The issue finds itself waiting for the voyager to regain their mark in home mobility anywhere: Of the personal benchmarks is having mobility at home, even one is outside their home.

Multiplication of “at home.” The ultra mobility, physical and virtual, has led to a fragmentation of living spaces.
The new nomads show all the characteristics of the multiplication of emotional attachments: several living spaces, of multiple origins, of intercultural links, of parallel lives…They are of the physical and virtual residences, fixed or mobile, the interest is of making their spaces comfortable and personal. It is the quality of relaxation that facilitates this acceleration. This phenomenon spawns a strong trend, towards a new sedentary aspiration who returns on the front of the scene for becoming a post modern value and translates itself through finding “home” everywhere. But, what gives a sense of being “at home.”
