The Grand Concourse, as it is called, has a century! For the occasion, the Bronx Museum of the Arts and the Design Trust for Public Space released the winners of the design competition: Intersections: The Grand Concourse Beyond 100. See the blog post of Metropolis P/O/V.
I particulaly liked the following two projects: (1) Live Wired (a socio-urban plan enacted using audio-visual technology) and (2) Re-vision-ing the Bronx Grand Concourse: A Community-Centered Approach (an experience research project investigating the needs, behaviors, and desires of the communities that utilize the Bronx Grand Concourse).
Why blogging this? The first project relates to the augmented experience of space and the reappropriation of territories through technologies. The second share similarities with services offered by PanUrbanIntelligence.
